Penny Prediction



Effect: A hat or bag containing ten pennies ( quarters will do, just as well ) is passed to the audience. They are asked to examine the coins to confirm that the coins have different dates. A member of the audience is asked to choose a coin at random and pass this around for the other members to see. The coin is then placed back in the hat with the other coins and the hat is then presented to the magician. Eyes closed and appearing to be concentrating deeply, the magician puts his hand in the hat and retrieves the chosen coin.

This is an impressive mind reading style routine.

Items Needed: 10 pennies or quarters with different dates on each, a hat or paper bag.

Secret: There is no secret setup. There is no force of which coin to chose. The magic trick is fairly simple if you think about it. As the coin is passed through the people's hands, it becomes warmer than the rest. So, all you have to do when you stick your hand into the hat is find the coin that is the warm one. A paper bag will do just as good as a hat.

Coin Vanish Through Glass



This is an easy to do cool coin trick where a coin appears to vanish when covered by a clear glass. The finish is equally impressive as the coin reappears as suddenly as it disappeared. ( Video explanation at bottom of this page. )

Preparation : This easy coin magic trick requires a few simple props

A glass

Paper glue or clear sticky tape

Scissors

Sheet of paper

Piece of cloth or a handkerchief.

Place the glass upside down on the paper and draw a line on the paper around the glass so that you have a circle the same size as the rim of the glass.

Carefully cut out the circle shape with the scissors ( kids can get an adult to do this for them )

Glue or tape the paper circle to the rim of the glass

Easy Card TricksPerformance :

This trick should be performed on a surface that is the same color as the paper.

Show the coin and upturned glass, then cover the upturned glass with the cloth and place it over the coin.

Remove the cloth from the glass so that the audience can see inside the glass. The coin appears to have vanished.

Cover the glass again with the cloth and remove the glass to its original position. The coin has magically reappeared.

This trick is very easy to perform but looks really impressive and is a lot of fun to perform.

Indicator Card Trick

Have you ever seen a magician find a persons card in a deck? It's impressive, isn't it? It's actually quite simple: the key is called "The Indicator Card". Basically, look at the bottom card in a deck before the performance. Then, tell them to pick a card, any card. Once they have picked it, tell them to put it on the bottom of the deck. Now, cut the cards and put the bottom half on top. Now, all you have to do is find the card that you saw on the bottom of the deck, and the card to the right will be the persons card!
